The Pound, from Moralana Valley, Flinders Ranges, SA, 22 x 43 cms

Every year I visit the Flinders Ranges in South Australia's far north. I always bring back heaps of photos and sketches for future paintings. This painting "The Pound" was painted from reference material I had gathered while travelling along the Moralana Scenic Drive which runs from the Hawker-Wilpena Road to the Hawker-Parachilna Road. The southern wall of Wilpena Pound is a majestic sight from this valley!
